How do weight loss injections work?

Supressing Cravings
Curbs appetite by reducing hunger and cravings. The active ingredient mimics hormones that signal fullness to your brain, helping you feel satisfied and eat less.

Slows Digestion
Prolongs fullness by slowing stomach emptying. Delays food release into the small intestine, keeping you satisfied longer and reducing the urge to eat.

Lowers the Weight 'Set-Point'
Your body has a natural weight range it tends to maintain due to biological factors. Support a gradual shift in this range to better suit your personal health and habits.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the different types of weight loss medications available?
There are several types of weight loss medications available, each working in different ways to help with weight management. Two of the most commonly prescribed medications are Tirzepatide and Semaglutide.
Tirzepatide: This medication is a dual GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonist, meaning it helps regulate blood sugar levels and appetite, leading to weight loss. It is approved for type 2 diabetes but is also prescribed off-label for weight management.
Semaglutide: A GLP-1 receptor agonist that helps reduce appetite and increase feelings of fullness, leading to significant weight loss. It is FDA-approved specifically for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight individuals with weight-related conditions.
Both medications are injectable and work by mimicking hormones that regulate hunger and food intake. They are typically used alongside diet and exercise for optimal results.
How much weight could you lose?
While clinical studies show varying weight loss results depending on the treatment type, you can potentially lose 15% to 20% of your body weight within 17 months by adhering to your prescribed treatment plan and adopting healthier eating habits and regular exercise.
What are the potential benefits of using weight loss medication?
Weight loss medications can help you lose a significant amount of weight, improve your health, and reduce your risk of developing serious health conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer.
